Paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.This reboot of the popular movie-franchise pays tribute to the original 1980s hit film with in-jokes and cameos. It gives thrill-seeking comedy fans an experience not to be missed – with a combination of ghosts, guns, gags and girl power. There’s no one else to call, but the Ghostbusters!

Apart from the comedic powerhouse that is Melissa McCarthy – the film’s cast also includes Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael Kenneth Williams, and heartthrob Chris Hemsworth.
