Two people were ambushed in an armed robbery in Sinoville on Saturday.
Sinoville police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk said four armed men gained entry to a Sinoville residence on Saturday afternoon around 12:00.
He said the men assaulted and overpowered the domestic worker and gardener inside the residence. The attackers fled with a pistol and a hunting rifle.
Van Dyk said the owners of the residence were in Rustenburg at the time of the robbery.
“They were notified and are on their way home.”
Van Dyk said information was still sketchy, but more information would follow.
