Several hurt in Bronkhorstspruit crash

The exact number of injured remains uncertain at this stage.

Several people were hurt when a taxi and bus collided on the R104 Bronkorstspruit road in Nelmapius on Tuesday morning.

Two of the commuters in the taxi suffered serious injuries, said Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

All the injured were stabilised on the scene. Some were treated for spinal injuries after they were extricated from the twisted wreckage with the help of firefighters.

“One of the patients was placed on a ventilator before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
“The exact number of the injured remains uncertain at this stage,” Botha said.

“As so many ambulance services were at the scene, an update will follow as soon as all details are confirmed.”
