Two arrested in Mamelodi
Officers stopped a silver Mercedes-Benz that caught their attention.
Two men were caught with housebreaking equipment and a stolen vehicle in their possession in Mamelodi on Wednesday.
Mamelodi East police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe said this happened during a routine patrol in Mamelodi east, Section 16.
Officers stopped a silver Mercedes-Benz that caught their attention.
Police found three occupants in the car and one of them ran away when the car was stopped.
Police found a loaded revolver and housebreaking equipment with the other two men.
Further investigations revealed that the Mercedes-Benz had been reported stolen in Boksburg North.
The men would appear in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court soon.
