Mamelodi East police are looking for this man in connection with a house robbery in the area.
The man is believed to be in his early 20s.
Spokesperson, Captain Michael Mbewe said a woman allegedly spotted the man in her yard and asked him what he was doing. The man had told her he was chasing a criminal.
“The man apparently held her at gunpoint and forced her into the house,” said Mbewe.
The man was said to have threatened to kill her if she shouted before taking her cellphone and plasma-screen television.
This happened during the day.
Mbewe warned residents against trying to apprehend the man if he was seen, urging them instead to notify the police.
“The man may be armed and dangerous,” said Mbewe.
The police could be called on 08600-10111.
