NEWSFLASH: Armed robbery at Mall@Reds
The robbers gave police the slip, fleeing in two cars.
Six armed men robbed a electronic equipment store in Mall@Reds in Centurion on Wednesday.
The security firm Orange Fox said this happened around 10:30.
“A group of six men robbed the Incredible Connection store where electronic equipment were stolen. No one was injured,” said Orange Fox spokesperson Marce Bester.
All the men carried firearms.
Concerned Citizens spokesperson Hannes Du Buisson confirmed the robbery.
“Police responded to a call while the robbery was in progress, but was given the slip by the robbers who fled the scene in two cars – a grey Honda and grey VW Jetta.”
Buisson said the police were investigating.
Police could not be reached for comment immediately.
Mall@Reds has been the target of several robberies in the past few months.
