NEWSFLASH: North doctor targeted in armed robbery
“The robbers apparently followed him after he made a withdrawal at a bank.”
A doctor at Medicross Pretoria North was allegedly attacked by three armed robbers on Tuesday evening.
Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said the attack and robbery took place outside the medical centre in Burger Street.
“It appears the suspects, driving a cream-white Toyota Cressida, followed one of the doctors at the centre from a bank where he made a cash withdrawal,” said Makhubela.
He said the robbers waited outside in their vehicle and attacked the unsuspecting victim when he exited the premises.
An unknown amount of money was stolen and the robbers fled the scene in the Toyota.
“We are still investigating. No arrests have yet been made,” said Makhubela.
