NEWSFLASH: Electronic store robbed in Faerie Glen
The robbers became aggressive and assaulted the Incredible Connection employee.
Five men robbed an electronics store at Atterbury Value Mart on Thursday morning.
Garsforntein police confirmed an Incredible Connection store was robbed around 11:00.
One of the store’s employees, who asked to remain anonymous, said five armed men took electronics and an undisclosed amount of money.
“Two men came to the store and asked one of my colleagues where the phones were. Shortly thereafter three more men entered the building and took out a firearm while my colleague assisted the two men,” he said.
The robbers became aggressive and assaulted the employee before all staff were forced into the backroom.
The victim said the robbers took laptops, an undisclosed amount of cash and the workers’ personal items (wallets and cellphones).
Police arrived after the men had left the scene, he said.
This is the second time an Incredible Connection store has been robbed in two days.
Mall@Reds was robbed on Wednesday afternoon after six men stole electronic equipment at Incredible Connection.
