It was reported yesterday that a teacher had been suspended in rural KwaZulu-Natal after footage of him having sex with a pupil went viral according to Citizen.
The scene is reportedly of him at his home with a minor, and the provincial education MEC, Mthandeni Dlungwana, told the media that as many as six pupils had come forward to admit having sex with the teacher. All of them were between 14 and 16, he said.
The MEC said a case of statutory rape and sexual abuse was being opened.
The video is about seven minutes long and police are investigating whether anyone else was involved in the filming.
The community reportedly threatened to burn down the teacher’s home.
