Charity event held for President Kruger Kinderhuis

The event raised R181 500.

The 14th annual charity tea to raise money for President Kruger Kinderhuis was held on Saturday.

The event, held at St Mary’s Church hall in Duxbury Road, Brooklyn, was organised by women of the Gereformeerde Kerk Kameeldrift.

The main artist for the day was Jak de Priester and R181 500 was raised.

Event coordinator Susan Fourie said they wanted to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate and offer children an opportunity to grow to their full potential.

President Kruger Kinderhuis guides children from impoverished and traumatised family backgrounds through Christian norms and values to become adults who can stand their ground in society.
