Kfc mini cricketers out having fun in Pretoria

Proteas women’s cricket team player Marcia Letsoalo and a left-hand seamer for the Titans, Rowan Richard, came to watch young cricketers at the Tshwane University of Technology during the KFC Mini–Cricket tournament.
The event hosted 1 800 children of all genders between the ages of six to 12 on Saturday.
The manager of minicricket at the Titans, Kagiso Masubelele said this tournament provided an opportunity for the young ones to become more active and outdoors.
“KFC Mini-Cricket aims to get more and more children active around South Africa and equip them with cricket skills,” said Masubelele.
Richard said this is a great platform for young cricketers to display their skills and to spot talent.
“I also played in the mini-cricket tournaments and being here reminds me of those days when I started out.”
The organiser added: “Mini-cricketers from different schools not only have fun practicing their batting and bowling skills but also develop self-confidence and get the physical exercise they need, all while they are having fun with their new-found friends on the pitch.”
Letsoalo said she had a great experience inter-acting with the young ones and wishes a successful future for all of them.
