Man shot dead at fuel station

He died on the spot after he got into an argument.

A man was shot dead outside a petrol station in Atteridgeville on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufamadi said this happened in Maunde street.

“It is alleged that the two men started arguing after buying drinks at the Sasol garage. A few minutes later, one pulled a firearm and shot the other before fleeing the scene.”

Mufamamdi said the victim had died by the time police and paramedics arrived on the scene.

“The suspect was tracked and arrested shortly in Atteridgeville,” Mufamadi said.

“He is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder”

Mufamamdi said investigations were continuing.
