Fuel station killer appears in court
He was tracked and arrested shortly after the shooting.
A man appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for the murder of an Atteridgeville man.
Police spokesperson Thomas Mufamadi said: “It is alleged the two men started arguing after buying drinks at the Sasol garage in Maunde Street, Atteridgeville. A few minutes later, one pulled out a firearm and shot the other before fleeing the scene.”
Mufamamdi said the victim had died by the time police and paramedics arrived at the garage.
“The suspect (25) was tracked and arrested shortly after the shooting in Atteridgeville,” Mufamadi said and added that investigations were continuing.
“The suspect will remain in police custody until he appears again in court sometime next week.”
