Sex assault docket referred back
“The prosecutor has instructed the investigating officer to conduct a further investigation before a decision can be made.”
A docket on charges of sexual assault against a Pretoria teacher has been referred back to the police.
This was confirmed by Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Luvuyo Mfaku on Wednesday.
This meant a decision would only be made later on whether the teacher should be prosecuted.

“The prosecutor has instructed the investigating officer to conduct a further investigation before a decision can be made,” said Mfaku.
The provincial education department suspended the teacher at the beginning of the month for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenaged boy at school.
The teenager’s educational psychologist, Antoinette Human, laid a charge with the police.

She was treating the boy for cutting himself and discovered that he might have been sexually assaulted by his teacher.
