Another police chase ended in a crash for fleeing suspects during the early hours of Wednesday morning in Kilnerpark, Moot.
According to Villieria police spokesperson, Captian Coba Brits, the chase happened around 01:00.
“The suspects burgled a bicycle shop and fled from the scene,” she said.
According to Kilnerpark Security spokesperson, Ancelize van der Kooi, they stole bicycles from the shop in Steve Biko Road.

“Our police officers chased a white Ford Bantam bakkie to the Hardy Muller circle where the vehicle overturned,” Brits said.
Van der Kooi said: “There were three suspects in the bakkie. Two are in hospital and the third one got away.”
She added that the bakkie has been confiscated by the police.

According to Brits, the two suspects in hospital have not been arrested yet.
“We have retrieved four of the stolen bicycles and are still searching for the rest.”
