NEWSFLASH: City bridge closed due to heavy rain
SA Weather service warns of localised flooding

The Capital Park bridge in the Moot was closed on Saturday morning because of heavy rains.
Community development worker Mike Burt the bridge was under water by mid-morning.
People trying to cross the bridge during such heavy rains had been swept away in the past, he warned.
“The bridge will be reopened once water levels have subsided and the Tshwane metro has cleared the road for traffic.”

Burt advised motorists to use Paul Kruger Road and cross over at Fred Nicholson Road in Parktown.
The SA Weather Service has warned that heavy rains that could lead to localised flooding in Gauteng. The odds off continued downpours were 80 percent, forecasters said.
