Curro Hazeldean Primary are very proud of their chess coach Jaco Nelson who took part in the chess tournament at Southdowns College.
Nelson came second in a draw with Khanya Mazibuko and women international master Anzel Laubscher.
He achieved an overall 4th place in the 2017 PSS Capablanca Round Robin B.
Nelson will be taking part in the 2017 Arnold Classic Gauteng Closed Chess Tournament 3 – 7 May 2017.
There are two qualifying spots up for grabs for the SA Closed B Men sections.
