Primary School Magalieskruin learner Gordon Schoombee (10) placed 19th in his second SA Cross Country Championship in Potchefstroom.
Schoombee was down with a tummy bug, but nothing could stop him from participating in the race.
He recovered and placed 19th in South Africa with a time of 7:25:5 out of 131 children. He is a long distance runner and ran several long distance road races and some park races mainly 5km, 6km and 8km.
