Brooklyn police were on Friday searching for a man who was involved in a robbery in Lynnwood on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach said his accomplice was arrested in Mamelodi East.
“On Thursday afternoon, the two suspects entered a kitchen in Jocelyn Street where a 70-year-old woman and her domestic worker were busy inside the kitchen.”
One of the men took a knife from the kitchen and threatened the elderly woman and her domestic worker.
“They started to tie the women up but decided to leave them when the elderly woman started to pray out loud. “
Weilbach said the duo left with two cellphones, cash and the woman’s silver-coloured Mercedes Benz.

“Shortly after the robbery, police from Radio Control caught one of the robbers with the stolen car in Mamelodi East.”
She said the 35-year-old man was scheduled to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.
“During the investigating police officers will be able to establish whether the suspect can be linked to other cases. The second suspect is still at large,” Weilbach said.
CSI Armed Tactical Response spokesperson Dana Bloem earlier said all the items stolen were recovered.
