According to Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk, Legodi was helping someone clean their house on Sunday. “Another person who was also helping with the cleaning noticed that his cell phone was missing.”
Van Dyk said they blamed Legodi and a fight broke out. “They broke a glass bottle over his head and then hit him with a brick.
“He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died the same day.
“A murder case was opened,” Van Dyk said.
His former principal Danie Brummer described Legodi as a great achiever.
