NEWSFLASH: Another body found dumped in Hammanskraal

The body was found half naked with a bullet wound in the upper body.

A woman’s body was found dumped in the bush in Hammanskraal on Wednesday, bringing to two the number of bodies found in the area in as many weeks, police said.

The body of a woman aged between 25 and 35 was found in a bushy area next to Suurman, Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria.

The body was discovered at around 7:00 on Wednesday, November 22.

“The body was found half-naked with a bullet wound in the upper body. It looks like she was killed elsewhere and transported to the scene where she was dumped,” said police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi.

He said vehicle tracks were visible next to the body.

The motive for the killing is unknown.

A fortnight ago, the body of a woman was found in the veld near Temba dam in Hammanskraal.

The body of the woman, aged 32, was discovered with head and upper body injuries on Monday, November 13.

The woman’s feet were tied with a string and her handbag was found next to her head.

Police suspect that she had also been murdered somewhere else and dumped a few days before she was discovered as her body had partially decomposed.
