The identity of the man whose body was found behind Irene Farm Village on Sunday has been established.
Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said: “His body, with a gunshot wound, was found between the railway track and the water reservoir.”
Miller said the man’s body appeared to have been there for less than a day.

“It’s been established he was a cyclist,” Miller said.
He said the motive for the murder seemed to have been robbery.
“All forensic evidence that has been gathered is being followed up,” he said.

Miller said the forensic evidence would be used to track down the culprits.
His identity would be revealed once his next-of-kin come forward.
