No arrests have been made in the case of a house robbery and murder in Erasmia, Centurion on Saturday evening.
This is after a man was shot and killed when he tried to help his neighbours who were being robbed.
Police said the robbers were in possession of firearms and a crowbar.

Four men – who were wearing balaclavas – handcuffed the occupant of the house and then proceeded to take jewellery, a laptop, cellphones and a TV, said police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma.
“The neighbour entered the same [neighbour’s] premises with his shotgun to assist after he heard some noise,” said Huma.
She said the deceased was shot in the upper body and declared dead at the scene.
