Villeria police are investigating the death of a Kilner Park woman whose body was discovered on Wednesday.
Dianne Rose Ayres’ body was found on an N1 bridge in the Moot.
Villieria police spokesperson Captain Coba Brits said a culpable homicide docket was opened and police were investigating.

She said Ayres was found with injuries.
“Her body had several injuries, the cause of which will be determined in an autopsy.”
Brits declined to comment on an online news report that the body was found without a face and legs.
The homicide was estimated to have occurred on 29 November.
Brits said the family was told immediately after the body was linked to Ayres’ disappearance.
“We put various methods in place to establish her identity after a missing person’s case was reported on 5 December,” she said.
“[The] Family is receiving all possible support and assistance from the detective service.”

Brits said all leads were being investigated and no conclusions were going to be drawn yet.
Ayres’ friend Annari du Plessis described her as a nice person.
“She was friendly and social. People remember her as someone who had a contagious smile, was bubbly and fun to be with.”
She said Ayres loved to watch musicals and studied fashion design at the Tshwane University of Technology.
“We used to go to metal gigs regularly. She had a wide circle of friends and made friends easily,” she said.
“She has been in a relationship for about seven months.”
Ayres’ boyfriend Johan Fraier said he was last with her on 27 November.
“She went to a funeral earlier on the day she went missing.”
He said Ayres then went home after the funeral.
The devastated Fraier said he did not know what to think.
“Fact is she was murdered,” he said.
He told Rekord his girlfriend was a lovable person who liked everyone.
“She would give away when she did not have enough herself,” he said.

Ayres is survived by her mother and her younger sister.
