The suspects who snatched about R300 000 cash at Silverlakes mall this week are still at large, police said.
On Tuesday morning three men carried out a cash heist at Silverlakes mall and drove off in a greyish Mercedes Benz after a shootout with security guards.
Silverlakes Mall has declined to comment.
Boschkop police spokesperson Larrisa van der Merwe said police were still looking for the suspects.
“The suspects are still at large but an investigation is still ongoing.”
She said the attack was carried out by seven men.

“The security footage indicates that there were four more people in the vehicle,” Van der Merwe said.
She said the footage would not be released yet, as the investigation was still ongoing.
The suspects headed in the Mamelodi direction, police said.
“We urge residents in the Mamelodi area to alert the police if they spot the Mercedes Benz which we believe would be easy to identify because of bullet holes.”

A shootout between SBV security guards and three of the suspects ensued at the Silverlakes mall after the gang had robbed one of the wholesalers of the R300 000 that was due for collection by the guards.
“One of the security guards was shot in the leg.”
High-Risk security spokesperson Gareth Pahl said the injured guard was treated and transported to hospital.
