A police hunt is continuing for three men after a Soshanguve cash-in-transit heist that left two security guards dead on Sunday.
The two guards were shot dead during a cash-in-transit heist along Soutpan road in Soshanguve, police said.
Spokesperson Captain Stephen Maluleka said the driver of the cash van survived the ordeal.
He told police a blue Nissan Skyline approached from behind and the occupants started shooting, forcing the van to stop.
“The three suspects from the Nissan ordered crew members out of the van and disarmed them, shooting one of them in the chest.

The guard later died in hospital, police said.
Maluleka said the culprits bombed the cash van, killing the driver of the escort vehicle that was close to the explosion.
He said it wasn’t clear how many people were in the escort vehicle and whether they were injured or not.
The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
