Wierdabrug police are urging motorists to be vigilant at all times to avoid being hijacked this festive period.
Police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said the number of hijackings increased this time of the year.
Last Friday, four men were arrested after hijacking a vehicle in Philip Monster Street in Danville, Pretoria West earlier in the day.

“The victim was attacked while he was opening a garage door. Two girls in the vehicle were forced out before the robbers fled.
“The motorist was assaulted by the two unknown men.”
