Police are still searching for a second man suspected of robbing a jewellery store at the Grove mall on Thursday, 21 December.
The man and an accomplice allegedly stole some goods from the store when a shootout ensued with security staff.
The man’s accomplice was wounded in the gunfight, but still managed to get away with some stolen jewellery. He was arrested the following day at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital while receiving treatment for his wounds.

The second suspect has not yet been arrested, but police are still investigating, said police spokesperson Captain Ilze Jones.
Anyone with information must contact the Silverton police station, she said.
