Police confirmed that they have found what could be the remains of the two missing Mooinooi women, Anisha and Joey van Niekerk.
The officers investigating the case had discovered the remains near the R104, said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mpeile Talane.
Police were acting on information they were given that the women’s remains would be found in Buffelsfontein, just outside of Mooinooi.
The remains have been taken for DNA testing and police are still awaiting the results. However, they believe it could be the missing women.
