It is alleged that the employer – who owns several taxis – attacked a taxi driver in his employ for supposedly not declaring a long-distance trip.
“It is alleged that the complainant sustained multiple injuries as a result of the attack,” said Zwane.
The complainant was taken to Kalafong hospital for medical treatment.
Police are currently searching for the alleged assailant who has apparently gone into hiding.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or know the whereabouts of the taxi owner is advised to contact the Olievenhoutbosch police or call the Crime line 08600 10111.
