The Tshwane metro is sorting out the waste collection problems in Region 1 and 2, it has promised.
City spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo said the metro was in discussion with the service provider.
“The city is in a continuous engagement with the service provider in order to establish the reasons behind obstructing waste collection in the two Regions.”

Mashigo promised that the service will resume soon.
The affected areas are:
- Ga-Rankuwa,
- Mabopane,
- Winterveld,
- Soshanguve
- Akasia – Rosslyn
- Alphen Park
- Ashlea Gardens
- Brooklyn Extension
- Erasmus Park
- Hazelwood
- Maroelana
- Monument Park
- Muckleuneuk Ext
- Lukasrandrand
- Nieuw Muckleneuk
- Waterkloof
- Waterkloof Height
- Waterkloof Park
- Sterrewag
- Pretoria CBD
- Lynwood
- Menlo Park
- Persequor
“The City apologises profusely for the non-collection and/ or interruption of waste management services. The municipality is committed to ensuring that the situation gets improved to the required and expected standard,” Mashigo said.
