A power failure occurred in Rosslyn and neighbouring areas on Friday while city technicians were working to repair faulty lines.
Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the identified faults were extensive and may take approximately nine hours to fix.
“It is estimated that power will be restored around 20:00.”

The affected areas are:
- Nkwe Estates
- Rosslyn
- Rosslyn Gardens
Mashigo urged residents to treat all electrical points as live at all times.
“The city wishes to apologise for the inconvenience that might arise as a result of this power supply interruption.”
