Midstream College was able to boast a stellar 100 percent pass rate when the class of 2017’s matric results were released earlier this month.
The school was even more proud to announce its matriculants obtained 348 distinctions in the various subjects offered at the school and a 90.4 percent bachelor degree pass.
Jualene du Preez, Shanley Koekemoer and Dewald Pieterse received the IEB outstanding achievement of being within the top five percent of all IEB learners in six or more subjects.
Du Preez and Koekemoer received nine distinctions each.
Du Preez’s distinctions were in Afrikaans home language, English first additional language, mathematics, alpha maths, accounting, life sciences, physical sciences, tourism and life orientation.

Koekemoer obtained distinctions in English home language, Afrikaans first additional language, mathematics, alpha maths, advanced programme mathematics, accounting, geography, physical sciences and life orientation.
Dewald Pieterse made it into the top one percent of all IEB learners in seven of his 11 subjects.
Pieterse obtained 11 distinctions in Afrikaans home language, English first additional language, mathematics, accounting, business studies, physical sciences, computer application technology, geography, information technology, tourism and life orientation.
