Maragon Mooikloof achieves 100% pass rate

“Congratulations to all our 2017 grade 12 students for finishing strong. You can now enjoy the fruit of twelve years of hard work.”

Maragon Mooikloof High School achieved an impressive 100 percent pass rate in last year’s Independent Examination Board (IEB) matric exams.

Principal Chris Zaayman commended the class of 2017, saying he was proud of its achievements “through hard work”.

The school also obtained a 90 percent bachelor degree pass.

“Congratulations to all our 2017 grade 12 leaners for finishing strong. You can now enjoy the fruits of 12 years of hard work. It is now your time to go and live your calling and be a city changer,” said Zaayman.

The school’s top achiever Shiria Wiltz bagged seven distinctions with an average of 92 percent, closely followed by Francois Potgieter also with seven distinctions and an average of 89 percent.

Mareile Germishuys and Anja Turner both obtained six distinctions with an average of 88 percent while Celine Coetzee and Chanel Blignaut obtained six distinctions and Etiene Theron and Victor van Niekerk five.

The school scored a total 75 distinctions.
