Temba and surrounding areas in the north will be without water from Wednesday, the metro has announced.
It said the water shut-down was due to a maintenance of the Temba water purification plant which will take place from 08:00 on Wednesday until 08:00 the following day.

City spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the following areas will be affected:
- Dilopye
- New Eersterus
- Temba
- Babelegi industries
- Marokolong
- Ramotse
- Majaneng
- Mandela Village
- Sekampaneng
- Hammanskraal
He assured residents the metro would make tankers available to the affected areas.
