The Tshwane metro are attending to power outages in Centurion, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
Technicians are attending to power failures due to cable theft, according to the statement.
It is believed the cables were stolen during the early morning hours of Wednesday morning.
Areas affected include Valhalla, Zwartkop and Thaba Tshwane.
Consumers are advised to treat all electrical points as live.
Affected customers are urged to report power failures by SMS.
SMS the word power followed by your account number to 082-612-0333 or 44676. Or report a power failure to 012- 358-9999, choosing the electricity option or 080 1111 556.
