Illegally erected structures along the Old Bronkhorstspruit Road and Solomon Mahlangu Road in Donkerhoek were demolished on Tuesday.
“The red ants are demolishing the structures after a court order was received to remove the squatters,” said police spokesperson Captain Marissa van der Merwe.

She said no violence has been reported as yet.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the R104 between Solomon Mahlangu Road and the Cullinan/Rayton roads.
