Atteridgeville man arrested for rape, murder of boy (7)

The body of the seven-year-old boy was found on Monday in Saulsville.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a seven-year-old boy in Atteridgeville.

Police spokesperson Captain Thomas Mufamadi said the body of the boy was found around 06:40 at the corner Makhaza and Mokhukhu Street in Saulsville on Monday.

“It is believed that the boy had gone missing on Saturday after he was last seen with the suspect. It is alleged that the deceased was raped then murdered,” he said.

Mufamadi said a murder and rape docket was opened and the Atteridgeville police were investigating.
