Three men nabbed for drugs in the west

"The police were doing patrol in Schutte Street in Pretoria West around 08:00 when they noticed suspicious activity."

Three men have been arrested for possession of drugs in the west of Pretoria.

Police spokesperson Constable Sibongile Vuma said at around 08:00 on Wednesday police were on patrol in Schutte Street when they spotted a suspicious-looking man walking towards the railway line.

“The man picked up a plastic bag which he then handed over to another man,” said Vuma.

Vuma said the police approached the second man, who happened to be a buyer and asked to search him.

“They found dagga in the bag and arrested him.”

The man who had handed the bag over was also searched and found to be in possession of nyaope.

“He too was arrested and he confessed to selling it at R25 per packet.”

Vuma said in an unrelated incident, another man was arrested after police allegedly found nine ziplock packets of dagga in his possession.

The men were detained at Pretoria West police station and would appear in court soon.
