NATIONAL NEWS: Hunt still on for remaining Sun City escapees
“Seven were arrested, two shot dead, and the search for the remainder continues.”
The police are still on the trail of the remaining seven prisoners who escaped from Sun City prison in Johannesburg a week ago.
Spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said on Tuesday seven of the 16 men who escaped from prison were still at large.
“Seven have been re-arrested, two shot dead in KwaZulu-Natal, and the search for the remainder continues,” said Dlamini.

Dlamini warned the public against confronting the escapees.
The awaiting-trial prisoners escaped through a pipe shaft and broke through a wall of the Diepkloof prison, otherwise known as Sun City, on 9 April.
Authorities said security had since been tightened at the prison while a high-level investigation continued.
