UPDATE: Justice for Wollie by Centurion residents
“We are very disappointed that someone living here, could do something so cruel to an animal.”
Residents at an upmarket housing estate in Centurion were traumatised when a cat was found hanging from a tree inside the estate.
The grisly discovery was made at the Midstream Estate by a jogger last week Wednesday, who reported it to the home owners’ association.
The association’s spokesperson Fred Williams told Rekord he suspects the cat is most likely to have been killed by someone living at the estate.

The cat, named Wollie, is well-known at the estate and was found hanging from a neighbour’s tree.
Wollie was taken to Petstream Vet where it was determined she had suffered a broken back, which was consistent with the hanging.
“We are very disappointed that someone living here could do something so cruel to an animal,” said Williams.
He said the matter is being investigated and that the home owners’ association will assist where they can.
A Facebook page: Justice for Wollie, has since been opened by the Midrand SPCA.
