A march by private security officials may disrupt traffic in central Pretoria on Thursday, the metro police said.

Demonstrating under the banner of the Private Security Forum, the officials were scheduled to deliver two memoranda outlining their demands, which related to their work conditions.

The first would be handed to the department of labour in Francis Baard Street and the second to the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority in Belvedere Street.
Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said the marchers would assemble at Bosman station in Pretoria around 10:00
“From Bosman station, they will get into Paul Kruger Street and turn right into Francis Baard Street to reach the department of labour,” said Mahamba.
From there they would proceed along Francis baard Street and turn left into Nelson Mandela Drive.

The next turn would be to the right into Edmond Street, then left into Hospital Street then right into Belvedere Street.
The following intersections would also be affected:
Steve Biko Street
Sisuli Street
Lilian Ngoyi Street
Thabo Sehume Street
Paul Kruger Street
Mahaba said the marchers were expected to disperse by 14:30 after their visit to the regulatory authority.
Metro police officers would be deployed to keep watch and to control the traffic.
Mahamba advised motorists to avoid the affected Streets and to use alternative routes such as Pretorius, Johannes Ramokgoase, Sophie de Bruyn and Bosman streets.
