
A 65-year-old man was arrested for killing his disabled son in Atteridgeville Extension 19 on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi Msimango said local residents alerted the police after they caught the man pushing a trolley with his son’s body parts.

“The man was handed to the police when they arrived on the scene,” he said.
“The suspect was caught pulling a homemade trolley carrying a body of his mentally disturbed 34-year-old son. The body was wrapped in black plastic for disposal.”

Msimango said the internal organs, head, skin on the legs had been removed.
“The suspect was immediately arrested and charged with murder and follow up investigation is continuing to establish the motive of the murder,” he said.

“The incident occurred a day after the man’s wife had visited relatives in Mpumalanga.”
The man was expected to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.
