UPDATE: Woman recovering after north cash-in-transit heist

Initial reports from police indicated that the woman died in the robbery.

A woman who was injured in a cash-in-transit heist in the north of Pretoria on Saturday is recovering, police said.

The woman was driving past the robbery when a stray bullet hit her in the leg, according to police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele.

Initial reports from police indicated that the woman died in the shooting.

Another person was also injured during the robbery.

However, more information on the exact injuries sustained could not be established at the time of going to press.

“Two other vehicles were also damaged in the shooting,” Makhubele said.
