Meeting to discuss Moot traffic problems

The councillors have joined forces to tackle the issues.

Three Moot ward councillors have joined forces to tackle road problems in the area.

DA councillors Roelof Fourie, Frans Smith and Juanita du Plooy have organised a public meeting to discuss transport and roads problems chief among which “is the road network and infrastructure”.

Fourie said residents had recently raised this concern about traffic signals, road markings, traffic congestion, traffic volume, calming measures, potholes, law enforcement and speed limits.

He invited residents to submit topics for the agenda by sending an email to mootroads2018@gmail.com.

“This will help us decide which specialists to invite and help them prepare for this meeting,” he said adding the date for the meeting was yet to be determined but it would be next month.
