UPDATE: No arrests in Karen Park cash heist
The robbers made away with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one has been arrested yet in connection with the cash-in-transit heist which rocked the Karen Park community, north of Pretoria last month.
“We are still investigating,” police spokesperson Captain Rebecca Phatlane said. “No arrests have been made.”
She said police had not yet established how much money the thieves made off with on Saturday, 28 April “because the vehicle was burnt”.

More than 10 people were involved in the daring heist, which eyewitnesses said was over in less than 30 minutes.
A woman was shot in the leg and two vehicles damaged during the incident.
Company executive Arthur Gibson said the recent escalation in cash-in-transit heists was unacceptable.
“We are definitely advocating a stronger partnership approach between all stakeholders to help make the transport of money safer and to avoid the senseless loss of life in many cases.”
Gibson said it was crucial to improve crime intelligence, which would help in identifying the responsible syndicates.
