UPDATE: Zinhle Ndala case: Still no arrest 15 months on

The police have pleaded for anyone with information on the murder of Zinhle Ndala to come forward.

The Mamelodi East police announced on Wednesday afternoon that no arrest had been made in relation to the murder of a Mamelodi girl more than a year after her body was found.

Zinhle Ndala (9) disappeared on 4 January 2016 while playing with other kids in the street in Mamelodi East section SNS and her body was found in a stormwater drain next to Rethabile Sports Ground, a few blocks from her home, on 19 February.

Police spokesperson Captain Michael Mbewe said no arrest had been made but the investigation continued and the police “would not rest until the murder was solved”.

He pleaded for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the murderer of the Zakhele Primary School learner to contact the police on 08600-10111.
