A Pretoria man was found dead in Hebron in the North West on Thursday morning.
Mokate Abbey Nthebe (58) of Soshanguve went missing on Wednesday afternoon after he left work.
Nthebe was working as a logistics manager at Elite Surgical Supplies in Lynnwood.
A colleague, Magnet de Beer. said she was struggling to come to terms with his sudden death.
“I last saw him leaving work on Wednesday around 17:00. The next morning, his son came to our offices and informed us that his father had not returned home that night,” she said.

De Beer said Nthebe’s wife and son reported a missing person at the Silverton police station as they were getting worried.
“Around 11am, we received a call from the Hebron police that Nthebe’s body was found on the roadside near the police station.”
De Beer said she had worked with Nthebe for almost four decades and described him as a hardworking man,
“We worked together for over 38 years and in those years, I’ve known him as a hardworking, diligent man. He was a committed family man and often worked until late. On Wednesday, it came as a surprise when he left work on time.”

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani said on Friday a murder was being investigated.
“On Thursday, the community alerted the police about a body that was found in the street outside Hebron. There were no visible wounds on him but we believe that he could have been murdered,” she said.
Funani said Nthebe’s vehicle was later found stripped in Soshanguve.
No arrests were made, she said.
