
The body of a woman was found in Rietondale Park in the Moot on Saturday morning, the police said.
Police spokesperson Captain Anton Breedt said the body of the woman, presumed to be in her early thirties, was found under a tree in the park at around 08:00.
“The woman was discovered half naked,” he said.

“All possibilities will be investigated.”
He said it was still unclear what the exact cause of her death was, but added that an autopsy would be done to determine this.
CPF chairperson, Elsabe van Staden warned all Moot women not to wander in parks after hours.

“The lighting in our parks are very bad, which attracts the wrong elements,” she said.
“Again, I appeal to our community to join the Pretoria Moot CPF and, with regular patrols, ensure that we create a safe neighborhood for all our residents.”
