UPDATE: Identity of Moot body yet to be revealed

It is suspected that she is from central Pretoria.

Police have yet to release the identity of the woman whose half-naked body was found at a park in the Moot last week.

The woman was thought to be from central Pretoria.

“It has been reported that she and her ex-boyfriend were seen in Brown Street a number of times,” said police spokesperson Captain Anton Breedt.

He said the woman’s ex-boyfriend identified her body.

Rekord previously reported that the woman’s body was found in a Rietondale park around 08:00 on Saturday morning.

Breedt previously said the woman was discovered “half-naked”.

Police are still investigating the exact cause of death.
